Christian Appel, began working at Nikola Corporation in 2017, initially joining during an international assignment as Customer Chief Engineer for Bosch. With a German Diploma in Mathematics from Stuttgart University, Christian serves as a vital member of the Million Miles Fuel Cell Truck (M2FCT) advisory board, contributing to a Department of Energy (DOE) funded consortium. This consortium, formed by five primary National Laboratories, addresses durability and efficiency challenges in PEMFCs for heavy-duty applications. Joining Nikola, Christian exemplifies a commitment to advancing electric mobility and driving transformative change in the industry.

Scott D. Beck is a seasoned professional holding the position of Vice President of Sales at Battle Motors. Raised on the south shore of Long Island, NY, Scott’s academic journey led him to John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore, where his passion for wrestling ignited. Achieving the title of New York State Greco-Roman Champion and High School All-American, he demonstrated early excellence in both athletics and academics.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Biology from Harvard University, where he further distinguished himself as an All-Ivy League wrestler in 1986.

Following his graduation, Scott embarked on a distinguished career in finance, serving as a trader at several prestigious Investment Banks. He also held the esteemed position of President at DaKoy Capital Markets, a minority broker/dealer. Additionally, he leveraged his expertise in real estate as a partner at D&C Troy Properties, a prominent firm based in Albany, NY.

Transitioning into the truck manufacturing industry in 2022, Scott assumed the role of Vice President of Sales, overseeing the Northeast Region at Battle Motors, a position that underscores his versatility and leadership.

Complementing his professional endeavors, Scott has been an active board member of the non-profit organization Beat the Streets NYC for 11 years, demonstrating his commitment to community engagement and philanthropy.

Beyond his professional and philanthropic pursuits, Scott is a dedicated martial artist, holding the esteemed rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. He currently resides in Manhattan with his wife, Jenny, and is a proud father to his two daughters, Isabel and Michaela.

David is the Canadian Sales Director for Managed Charging Services at Siemens. He holds an Engineering degree from McGill University and has an extensive experience in the trucking/automotive industry, including previous roles at Cummins, Navistar, Fiat-Chrysler and Aperia Technologies. David has honed his expertise in various aspects of the industry, including fleet electrification. Currently working at Siemens, David is helping in the transition towards sustainable transportation solutions. Daniel is responsible for the overall management of EMC leading the organization’s advocacy initiatives and strategic direction and identifying challenges and opportunities to advance the electrification of transportation. He serves as EMC’s media spokesperson and is a sought-after speaker on the topic on electric mobility.

A former Quebec Minister of the Environment, Sustainable Development, Wildlife and Parks, he was the first elected official in charge of a government strategy for the electrification of transportation in Canada in 2012. He graduated in sustainable carbon management and has written several books on the subject of transportation electrification, climate change, air pollution and energy transition since 2009.

Ryan Clayton is a longtime trucking and logistics executive, with nearly 20 years of experience, with a driving passion for zero-emission trucks and related technologies and their impact on the industry and environment.

Starting at the tender age of 19, Clayton began his career at Ryder Truck Rental, Sales and Operations, responsible for a staff of 10. After a few years he moved onto Volvo Trucks North America, responsible for the western territory of the U.S. for dealer operations and fleet sales, including introducing their electric Class 8 trucks into California, managing 20 dealership rooftops, with more than 300 employees.  He also expanded the western territory – placing the first Volvo dealerships in Alaska and Hawaii.

Soon Clayton moved to become the Regional Sales Manager of Georgia, which included sales, operations, P&L and building a large and successful team of 30 employees, servicing more than 300 customers.

Additional highlights from Volvo included being part of an exclusive team of four (4) managers elected across North America to head up product and market insights, including pricing strategies, throughout product introduction / implementation of a series of product launches.

Post-Volvo, Clayton became the regional sales manager for Vanguard Truck Centers, as well as creating the charging infrastructure model for the company, overseeing a staff of 45 with a $25 million budget.

Clayton served a stint prior to Nikola as a regional sales manager at Rush Enterprises where he quickly built a team from scratch, managed P&L and was a part of the invitation-only leadership team, as well as overseeing a $40 million budget.

Andrew began working with EV telematics in 2018 supporting electric utilities preparing for an EV future.  His work with EV load shifting has helped numerous utilities ready their electrical grids and support increasing EV adoption in North America. Forever passionate about sustainability, Andrew has since shifted his focus to fleet electrification. He has been pivotal in supporting several fleets’ plans for an electric future through EV suitability and charging infrastructure assessments.

Matt is the Program Manager for Partners in Project Green’s energy performance programs. Through this role he oversees several programs supporting organizations across the GTA with energy management and decarbonization. Matt leads the delivery of PPG’s new low carbon transportation program, Futureproof Your Fleet, which provides fleet managers and operators with the information they need to navigate available and emerging technologies for fleet decarbonization. Matt also manages PPG’s Energy Leaders Consortium, where he supports industrial energy professionals with their energy projects and sustainability goals through direct support, knowledge sharing, and resources. Prior to joining the PPG team, Matt worked in energy efficiency programs, leading a team of account managers in assisting organizations across Ontario with energy efficiency project planning and incentive applications.  He brings his experience in developing high quality information sessions along with experience in program development.

Matt is the Program Manager for Partners in Project Green’s energy performance programs. Through this role he oversees several programs supporting organizations across the GTA with energy management and decarbonization. Matt leads the delivery of PPG’s new low carbon transportation program, Futureproof Your Fleet, which provides fleet managers and operators with the information they need to navigate available and emerging technologies for fleet decarbonization. Matt also manages PPG’s Energy Leaders Consortium, where he supports industrial energy professionals with their energy projects and sustainability goals through direct support, knowledge sharing, and resources. Prior to joining the PPG team, Matt worked in energy efficiency programs, leading a team of account managers in assisting organizations across Ontario with energy efficiency project planning and incentive applications.  He brings his experience in developing high quality information sessions along with experience in program development.

Bruce Winchester has been the Executive Director of the Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance (CNGVA) since 2015. CNGVA has a mandate to support Canadian medium- and heavy-duty fleets in attaining cost-effective emissions reductions through the use of gaseous fuels. Comprising a full value chain membership – from producers through to fleet users – members include Canadian companies involved in gaseous fuels production, distribution, manufacturing, fuel and infrastructure supply, research, consulting, international project management as well as leading Canadian fleets. Working in collaboration with government, CNGVA has developed, and recently updated, a roadmap for natural gas and renewable natural gas vehicle deployment in Canada’s medium and heavy-duty transportation sector. For almost a decade CNGVA has supported fleet outreach activities through its Go With Natural Gas initiatives, recognized leading fleets through annual achievement awards. Mr. Winchester has been engaged in public affairs for more than two decades, including experience in municipal, provincial and federal government, and served as an advisor at the highest levels of government, including to a former Minister of Industry and Natural Resources.

Bruce Winchester has been the Executive Director of the Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance (CNGVA) since 2015. CNGVA has a mandate to support Canadian medium- and heavy-duty fleets in attaining cost-effective emissions reductions through the use of gaseous fuels. Comprising a full value chain membership – from producers through to fleet users – members include Canadian companies involved in gaseous fuels production, distribution, manufacturing, fuel and infrastructure supply, research, consulting, international project management as well as leading Canadian fleets. Working in collaboration with government, CNGVA has developed, and recently updated, a roadmap for natural gas and renewable natural gas vehicle deployment in Canada’s medium and heavy-duty transportation sector. For almost a decade CNGVA has supported fleet outreach activities through its Go With Natural Gas initiatives, recognized leading fleets through annual achievement awards. Adam Wolk is a Senior Fleet Maintenance Leader and holds Ontario licenses for both 310T and 310S as a certified technician. With over a decade of hands-on experience, Adam transitioned to the role of overseeing fleet maintenance and has never regretted the move. Following his return to school, Adam obtained a degree in Business Administration, leveraging it to effectively manage shops and maintenance operations for large National Fleets over the past two decades. Presently, he serves as the Director of Maintenance at Challenger Motor Freight, a key player within the FastFrate group of Companies.
