Truck World delivers the largest audience of trucking industry decision-makers and in the country.ý It is the meeting place for Canada's trucking industry professionals.

CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSALS
Show Management and members of the Program Advisory Committee review all proposed seminars.ý Each topic/speaker must be submitted as a separate proposal.ý Program selections will be made and presenters advised four months prior to the show.ý Manufacturers or vendors not represented in Truck World are not eligible to submit presentation proposals.
Neutrality
The seminar program is an educational program for trucking industry professionals, who are expecting to learn valuable information that will enhance their knowledge and expertise in specific subjects and areas.ý Presenters may NOT use a seminar session as a platform for commercial sales, self-promotion or as a forum to criticize competitors.ý Information should be shared in an educational and non commercial manner.ý
Presentation Experience
The presenter must be confident that he/she can provide comprehensive information while sustaining the audience's attention.ý Please outline your experience in an educational setting, executive education and training medium, conference or public speaking venue.ýý Presenters must be thoroughly involved in the industry and have extensive knowledge of their subject.ý This combined with a willingness to share knowledge and their point of view and data are important factors.
Cancellation and Substitution
Approved speaker proposals are non cancellable. Presenters agree that only in case of emergency will they be unable to fulfill their commitment to present.ý Substitutions to be considered must be submitted in writing for approval and the substitute must be of equal calibre and qualification to the original presenter and are subject to acceptance by show management.
Mandatory
Speakers must adhere 100% to our NO COMMERCIALISM policy. The educational programs at Truck World are not the appropriate place for promoting your company, product, service or solution.
Your submission acknowledges that you agree to adhere to the deadlines and guidelines provided by Show Management.ý
Evaluation Criteria
Relevance: The topic must be relevant to Truck World attendees.ý You should indicate in your proposal which attendees your session will benefit.
Timeliness and Interest: Your proposed session should include new material not previously presented at other events.
Educational Value:ý An objective presentation that meets the educational needs of the audience will enhance the credibility of the speaker, the speaker's employer and Truck World.ý Real market experience and quantified business cases are of particular value.ý Sales pitches are NOT considered, nor are they generally appreciated by attendees.
Decisions of Show Management and the Program Advisory Committee are final.ý
Please note that it is impossible to call and discuss each submission to obtain additional details.ý Therefore it is crucial that you provide detailed information in the form below.ý
Before submitting your request, please print your completed form to serve as a record of your submission.ý You will not receive a confirmation email.
Speaker Expenses
If travel is necessary, Truck World will provide round-trip economy airfare and one night's hotel accommodations for those selected to present.ý Honourarium's are not available. Travel or hotel expenses will not be provided to industry manufacturers, exhibitors or to members of the media representing industry publications.
Seminar Format
Equipment: Show Management will provide a podium with microphone; cordless lavalier (clip-on microphone); a screen; and a LCD projector with remote control.ý Any additional equipment, including laptop computers, must be provided by the speaker, at his/her expense.ý
Timing: Seminars are a maximum of 45 minutes in length, including any question & answer periods.ý Show management will schedule approved sessions based on show attendance expectations and the timing that will provide the greatest benefit to our attendees.
Handouts: Speakers wishing to provide simple handouts may do so, at their expense.ý You may also want to invite the attendees to follow up with you by email after the show to get additional information electronically.
