Thursday, April 15 - 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Meeting the Modern Challenge of the Vocational Truck Spec’ing today’s vocational truck is a new challenge that demands a lot of knowledge, and this seminar will examine the key areas that need to be addressed, above and beyond the basic performance requirements. New technologies like hybridization and exhaust aftertreatment, for example, sometimes place difficult demands on the manufacturer of the vocational truck to create designs that account for the loss of space and payload. The vehicle must also comply with many and various new regulations, both federal and provincial. The goal is building a truck that goes to work legally and safely.
